Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Kasapoğlu announced that the free internet quota in dormitories belonging to KYK has been increased. Accordingly, students will now have twice as many internet rights. Here are the details…
Internet quota in KYK doubled
Mehmet Kasapoğlu, who made a statement on the subject on his official Twitter account, gave the good news: “Young people wanted it, we did it!” gave the description. Accordingly, the internet quota in KYK dormitories belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports was doubled to 32 GB .
This is a very important improvement, especially when we consider that the previous quota was 16 GB. However, it is still not enough. Especially considering that 1 minute of 1080p YouTube video eats up 50MB per minute. So a student watching an hour of lecture or entertainment video uses about 3GB of data.
Moreover, the quota is not the only problem here. Internet speeds in KYK dormitories are another problem. In its current state, it is quite difficult to perform many of the daily activities. For this reason, many students want to improve their internet speed in the dormitories.
So what do you think about this subject? Do you think the internet quota and speed in KYK dormitories are sufficient?
